What should I do if I want to return items from my order?
If you wish to return items from your order within Germany, you will receive a free return label on request (excluding items from the Birkenstock range).
- Please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
- In your request, please state your order number and the number of pairs of shoes you wish to return.
- Print out the DHL return label that we send you by e-mail.
- Place it visibly on the package.
- Hand in the parcel at the post office.
Please note: Only one parcel label is valid for each parcel; for each additional parcel you must request an additional parcel label.
We will not accept consignments without a parcel label!

What should I do if I want to exchange items?
An exchange is unfortunately not possible for logistic reasons.
If you would like to receive an article in a different size or colour, please place a new order in our online shop.
What should I do if I have a complaint?
In the event of a complaint, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of the defect and – if possible – photos showing the defect so that we can get a first impression.
We will then get back to you as soon as possible with an answer on how to proceed.
Please note: The processing of a complaint can take two to three weeks.
Are Grünbein shoes waterproof?
No. Grünbein shoes are welted. This high-quality manufacturing process guarantees that the shoes are more durable, easier to repair and have a better fit, but it also means that the shoes are not waterproof, especially at the seams.
We therefore recommend that you seal the sole seams with a so-called seam sealer (e.g. Water Protect Special by Shoeboy’s) and treat the shoes regularly with an impregnation spray for leather. You can find out more about shoe care here.
